HONEY SOY CHICKEN THIGHS

Autumn has come and it is reflected not only in whether and short day time but also in mood and emotions which I want to see in my photos.

So first of all I changed the table and got out of my stock the wooden one with authentic color. The second thing is cloth. My opinion it should be as close to season as possible and for me red color is most suitable one. And at last food.

Food is required special approach. As you know from previous post the concept of this month is chicken. So I had to have chicken as a base. My chicken should have color to be harmonic in whole picture. I started my search and found one healthy (and it is important as well because I don’t want to spend my time in gym instead of spending it with my family) tasty and having right color chicken. And I find one the recipe of it below.

I use natural light for these photos. Light was flowed back right side. And there was one white reflection in opposite to light source side.

I hope you feeling the same emotions which I do. By the way in my case I feel autumn, warmth and nostalgia for the summer.

HONEY SOY CHICKEN THIGHS

Prep Time 10 minutes

Cook Time 60 minutes

Total Time 1 hour 10 minutes

INGREDIENTS

  • ¼ cup honey

  • ⅓ cup light soy sauce

  • ½ tsp freshly ground black pepper

  • 4 cloves minced garlic

  • 1 tbsp finely grated fresh ginger root

  • 4 large chicken thighs (skinless)

INSTRUCTIONS

  • Stir together all the ingredients except the chicken thighs and pour into a large Ziploc bag.

  • Add the chicken thighs and marinate in the fridge for a couple of hours or overnight.

  • Place the marinaded chicken thighs on an aluminum foil lined cookie sheet and bake at 375 degrees F, uncovered, for about 45 minutes or until the chicken is fully cooked. I use a meat thermometer to make sure the internal temperature is between 170 and 180 degrees F.

  • Do not throw out the marinade. While the chicken is cooking simmer it over low heat and brush it on the chicken about every 10 minutes as it cooks.

NOTES

* The total prep time reflects the marinating time as well. The cook time will vary from 45-60 minutes depending on the actual size of your chicken thighs. Use a meat thermometer to be sure they are completely cooked.
